Laser cutting is a thermal cutting process for processing sheet metal. The laser beam is created by the laser source (resonator), conducted by a transport fiber or mirrors in the machine cutting head where a lens focuses it at very high power on a very small diameter. This focused laser beam meets the sheet metal and melts it,In addition to flat materials, tubes and profiles can also be processed by laser cutting systems. Primarily steel, stainless steel and aluminum are cut. The thickness of the processed sheet metal ranges from 0.8 to 30 mm.

High processing speeds, smooth cutting surfaces and an easy programming make laser cutting not only interesting for contract manufacturers,

so called job shops. Here, sheets of different thicknesses and tubes and profiles with diverse geometries are cut. The laser provides an efficient

and quick processing of even small batch sizes, quickly changing errands and different materials. Almost all metallic materials can be processed

with the common cutting machines, whereas construction steel, stainless steel and aluminum define an essential part.

Mainly used for fast cutting steel, silicon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, galvanized plate, pickling plate,galvanize plate, copper and other metal materials;

a high-quality cutting 0.5 ~ 18mm steel plate, 0.5 ~ 10mm stainless steel, 22mm or less cutting board, but also cutting PVC, MDF, acrylic, ABS, wood and

other non-metallic materials.

2D Laser Cutting

2D laser cutting machines process the most different materials and contours quickly and flexibly. These components are used in various areas: For example, housing covers of Hi-Fi systems, components for musical instruments or saw blades are cut by lasers.

3D Laser Cutting

With the corresponding system technology even complicated spatial components like hot shaped sheets, car bodies or tubes can be cut by lasers. Laser cut tubes are used e. g. in architecture or for ground frames for fitness equipment.

Principle of laser cutting machine


Where the focused laser beam strikes the workpiece, it heats the material so much that it melts or even vaporizes. Once it has completely 

penetrated the workpiece, the cutting process can start. The laser beam moves along the part contour, melting the material as it goes. 

Typically, a stream of gas blows the melted material downwards, out of the cut. The gap is barely wider than the focused laser beam itself.
